So I have been wanting to buy a place for years now, but its just not ever seemed quite right. Now the market is in a downturn (good for me a buyer) in Portland and I have a new (better paying job) and the last key piece... I might have a roommate lined up. I have been worried that I couldn't buy a place without a little help monthly. A gal who lives up at World View is wanting to move out and is willing to either rent from me or get a place with me closer in Portland. Hooray!
So now comes the research and prep work. I need to figure out what I can buy, budget etc... I need to start looking at places. So far I've found a condo that's close in on the east side that is an old apartment complex (built in the 60's) that has been refurbished nicely. I went to the open house a few weeks ago before my trip to India for work. I bthat I can afford a house (if I can find a good one I'll do it), and I don't know that I can keep up a yard etc... So the condo's have been the area I'm focusing on, not too mention the Mt Tabor area. I miss it, I need to move back.
